With domestic economy grows rapidly and the sales growth of household appliances, China's consumption of polymeric MDI increases greatly in 2010. In the field of application on PMDI is mostly used in the insulating of household appliances like refrigerator.
In general, domestic production is about 570,000 tonnes in 2010; the import and export of PMDI reach 320,000 tonnes and 170,000 tonnes respectively. Therefore, the total consumption of PMDI is 71,000 tonnes in China in 2010, up 15% compared with 2009.
As many enterprises plan to enlarge their production capacity, China's PMDI production will go to a high point in 2011.
